Workington have announced that Brian Dawson is stepping down from his role as Head of Academy.
The club said Dawson had been instrumental in the development of the academy since the role was first established, and that his work behind the scenes helped lay the foundations for its youth development pathway. Workington will now assume full responsibility for overseeing and managing the club's youth development pathways, and a successor will be announced in due course.
The club also confirmed that Assistant Manager Lee Andrews, Goalkeeping Coach Billy Redden and Physio Caitlin Gribbon have each committed to a further two seasons. The announcement followed Billy Barr's contract extension until May 2029. The club said the trio spoke to Steve Durham about continuity within the management team and their ambitions for the seasons ahead.
