Waltham Abbey Make History, Biggleswade Launch Home Bid, and Charity Walk Boosts Total

Waltham Abbey have reached the second round proper of the FA Trophy for the first time. The club described it on social media as "a landmark day for the club". No further detail on the result was supplied.

Biggleswade are running a petition as part of their bid to find a home back in the town. The club is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and said it has been working behind the scenes for some time to secure a return, while also addressing what it called a shortfall in sporting facilities in the town as a whole. Joint-manager Mark Inskip, whom the club described as a key driver of the campaign, has explained the background to the petition and the club is asking supporters to sign it.

At Ware, Pete Hill and Symon Allemandy walked from Wodson Park to Hertingfordbury Park before Saturday's derby game, raising money for Dementia UK. The club said they avoided the worst of the rain and that the total had reached nearly £900 after the match. Donations remain open, and the club hopes to take the figure past £1,000.
