For most of the afternoon at the Gallagher Stadium, Maidstone United looked like a side settling back into its stride after a midweek FA Cup exit. Nana Boateng's penalty five minutes before the interval gave them the lead, Harvey Greenslade's header struck the bar for Truro City, and the hosts had cause to feel comfortable. Then Truro turned the game on its head with two goals in four second-half minutes. Jack Stretton met Connor Riley-Lowe's cross with a low finish on 76 minutes, then glanced Will Dean's shot past Lenny Holden to complete the turnaround. Stan Leech headed against the post late on and Zachary Bell cleared George Fowler's header off the line deep into stoppage time. A crowd of 2,438 saw Maidstone United beaten in the league for the second game running, with John Askey's side winning on the road for a second time this season.
Elsewhere, Dover Athletic made it a fourth straight win in all competitions, Luke Baptiste and Jack Bates scoring inside the first half against AFC Totton before Mitch Walker's late fingertip save preserved the clean sheet. Farnham Town beat Weston-super-Mare 3-2 for a fifth unbeaten game, Daryl Sanders scoring twice; Dorking Wanderers and Braintree Town shared seven goals at Meadowbank, Dawid Rogalski settling it; Chesham United lost 4-0 at home to Maidenhead United; Chelmsford City and Horsham drew 0-0; Hemel Hempstead Town won 2-0 at Slough Town; Ebbsfleet United took a Kent derby at Tonbridge Angels 2-1; and Salisbury beat Folkestone Invicta 2-0 to finish September unbeaten.
Away from the pitch, Slough Town confirmed a 30-year lease on Tamblyn Fields, with chief executive Ashley Smith calling it "a significant milestone for Slough Town Football Club and for the town itself". Farnborough issued a statement seeking sale or investment. Walton & Hersham appointed Ruben Gaspar as permanent first-team manager and signed Josh Emmanuel, while Hemel Hempstead Town added Lee Angol, who scored on debut.
