Rossington Main may be without club captain Reece Fielding for Saturday's Halloween trip to Retford United, according to the club. The central defender and joint top scorer withdrew from Tuesday night's Senior Cup win over Dinnington Town 15 minutes after a high challenge, which led to Rossington being awarded a penalty.
The club said the match is the first of three consecutive away trips for Main. The win over Dinnington Town took them into the quarter-final of the Senior Cup, and followed a league victory over Bottesford Town at the weekend that kept them in the play-off picture.
Retford United currently hold the final play-off spot, five points ahead of Main, according to the club's preview. They are under new management after Ryan Hindley left for Ilkeston Town at the start of the month, with his assistant Jas Colliver stepping up. Colliver won his first league match 3-2 against Worsbrough Bridge last weekend.
Rossington have scored an average of two goals a game across their six October fixtures, the club said. Rob Guilfoyle has four goals in five league appearances since arriving from Hallam, while Oli Nowak has three in six this month.
