Retford have re-signed striker Ainsley Finney from Staveley Miners Welfare, subject to league approval.
Finney scored eight goals in 16 appearances for the Trojans this season. He previously made more than 50 appearances for the Choughs, scoring 23 goals. Injury cut short his 2025/26 campaign, restricting him to one appearance before he was sidelined early in the season.
Manager Chris Woodhead said: "Ainsley has been a prolific goalscorer throughout his career, and we were all disappointed when injury brought his season to such an early end last year.
"He moved to Staveley in pre-season and has worked hard to get himself back to full fitness, which has been reflected in his performances and goals so far this season.
"I'm delighted to welcome him back to the club. He knows Retford well, we know what he is capable of, and he'll add even more firepower to our attack as we look to build on our season."
