Real Bedford land Burrell, O'Sullivan and Wiltshire as Bury Town sign Wellens and Stamford add Bailey

Real Bedford have signed defender Billy Burrell, goalkeeper Will O'Sullivan and midfielder Kyran Wiltshire on short-term loan deals.

Burrell and O'Sullivan join from Birmingham City, while Wiltshire arrives from Hemel Hempstead Town. Burrell came through Birmingham's academy, having first joined at the age of six, and has captained the Under-21s over the past two seasons. He also spent time on loan at AFC Telford United earlier this campaign.

O'Sullivan joined Birmingham at Under-11 level and has represented the Under-21s in Premier League 2 and the Premier League Cup. He joined Darlaston Town on loan at 17 and made his National League debut for Solihull Moors towards the end of last season.

Wiltshire came through the academy at MK Dons and joined Maidenhead United in 2016, helping them win promotion to the National League. He went on to play for Bishop's Stortford and Oxford City, where he played with Real Bedford manager Rob Sinclair, and made more than 100 appearances for St Albans City after joining in 2020. He also had a loan spell at Hendon before moving to Hemel in 2024.

Sinclair said: "We're delighted to welcome Will, Billy and Kyran to the club. All three are good characters who will fit in well with the group. Will and Billy have a great opportunity to gain experience in senior football, while Kyran brings valuable experience to our midfield.

"All three strengthen the squad, and we're looking forward to working with them. A big thank you to Birmingham City and Hemel Hempstead for their help in getting the loans done."

Bury Town have signed 18-year-old midfielder Alfie Wellens on loan from Leyton Orient for an initial one-month period. He had been recalled by Orient from Bishop's Stortford, who thanked him for his efforts. Bury say he signed his first professional contract with Orient this year and has also been on loan at Gray's Athletic, Chertsey Town and Dagenham & Redbridge.

Also at Bishop's Stortford, Steve Smith has added Ukrainian central defender Kiril Halenin from Potters Bar Town and striker Samuel Ayolie on a work experience loan from Stevenage, for whom Ayolie made his first-team debut against Leicester City earlier this month.

Stamford have taken Joe Bailey on loan from Nottingham Forest. He joined Forest's academy in June 2017, and this is his second work experience loan after time with Shepshed Dynamo.

Uxbridge have signed Owen James from Stratford Town. Away from player moves, Bath City have appointed Alex Fisher as Head of Business Development.
