Radstock Town captain Danny Carpenter has undergone surgery on his knee, the club announced on Wednesday 28 October.
The club said the operation took place the previous day, following what it described as a "horrific tackle" in its final pre-season game.
"We send our best wishes to Captain Danny Carpenter," the club said. "We wish Danny a full and speedy recovery."
No timescale for his return was given in the club's statement.
