Quorn sign defender Brad Gascoigne from Basford United

Quorn have signed defender Brad Gascoigne from Basford United.

Gascoigne is from Nottinghamshire and works full-time as a coach at G3A, an academy he runs with former teammate Tom Elliott. He came through junior football and graduated from Birmingham City's Academy.

According to the club, he has played extensively at step two and step three. His non-league career has included spells with Corby Town, Worksop Town, Hereford United, Buxton, Stamford, Alfreton Town, Matlock Town, Barwell, Basford United, Kettering Town, Mickleover and Sherwood Colliery.

Two of his spells were with Nuneaton Town, where he played alongside current Quorn player-manager Ryan Beswick, and Tamworth, where he helped the Lambs win the National League North title.

"I enjoyed working with Bez at Nuneaton, so when he asked about joining here, I was excited about the prospect," Gascoigne said. "From the outside looking in, Quorn looks like a well-run club where I will be able to enjoy my football again."

Gascoigne is available for selection this evening as Quorn travel to FC United of Manchester.
