Poole Town have signed striker Ben Seymour from Taunton Town for an undisclosed record transfer fee.
The 27-year-old began in the academy at Exeter City, which he joined at the age of eight, and signed his first professional contract in 2017. He had loan spells with Weston-super-Mare, Bideford, Gloucester City, Dorchester Town and Yeovil Town.
Seymour made his professional debut for Exeter in 2019 against Coventry City in the EFL Cup and scored his first goal for the club in 2020 against Swindon Town. He made 50 appearances before being released in 2022.
He then joined Plymouth Parkway, scoring 20 goals in 37 appearances, and moved on to Hampton & Richmond, where he scored 14 goals in 41 appearances. He joined Torquay United for the 2024/25 season and went on loan to Bath City, AFC Totton and then Taunton Town, a move later made permanent. He has scored six times this season.
Manager Josh Staunton said: "We are excited to have Ben with us at Poole, I saw the quality he possesses first hand during his time at Yeovil."
He added: "Ben has been on the radar of several clubs at this level and above, so I am grateful to Andy for moving heaven and earth to get this deal over the line with the boards support. We look forward to having him with us and adding strength to the group."
Vice-chairman Andy Rossiter said: "He's a top, top striker who brings real quality and a huge amount to our squad; we are thrilled to have got this deal over the line and we cannot wait to see him in a Poole Town shirt."
The club thanked Taunton Town and their secretary, Peter Headington, for their support in completing the deal.
