Pershore Town 88 have signed James Halsall, who goes straight into today's squad.
The club announced the signing on social media, welcoming him to The Plums. Halsall is described by the club as versatile in defence and midfield, and has played for Worcester City, Droitwich Spa and Newent Town of late.
He has been training with Pershore for the last two weeks. The club said he joins to compete for minutes, with injuries in those areas of the pitch.
In a statement released by the club, the manager said: "Really pleased to bring Jimma into the fold. He is someone I have known for a long time, dating back to the school football days. Back in the day, Jimma was arguably one of the best players in Worcester youth football."
He added: "First and foremost, he is the sort of personality we look to bring into the club. He is a brilliant communicator, aggressive and can play. Delighted to have him here and look forward to watching him compete and strengthen our squad. He has been training with us the last two weeks and slotted straight into the group and really impressed."
Pershore are offering supporters the chance to sponsor Halsall for the season, with interested parties asked to contact the club on social media.
