Lordswood arrived at the seaside top of the table, unbeaten in six and with 13 goals in their previous two games. They left without a point. Minster won 3-2 at Hartsdown Park, clawing back the points in the dying minutes.
Charlie Sharp scored twice, the first from the edge of the box after what the club described as an excellent team move, the second a strike across goal, to make it 2-0 at the break. Lordswood pulled one back early in the second half and equalised in the 86th minute. Then Fin Waddell won a late free-kick, Todd Jordan crossed it, and captain Coyne volleyed in with the outside of his boot. Sharp has since been named in the Kent Online Team of the Week.
Lordswood's day had another side. The club announced that three under-18 players and one under-23 player, Harley, Eli, Emmanuel and Shemi, had been called up to the first-team squad, and Head of Youth Gary Groves later discussed the club's development work. Minster's next fixture is against Lewisham Borough Community, who had won four in a row at home before that trip.
Elsewhere, Greenways won 2-1 at Halls, and Stansfeld beat Croydon 4-1, with Macey Malyon named man of the match. Lewisham Borough Community beat FC Elmstead 4-2 through Oduntan, Bunclark, Webb and Oredein. Staplehurst Monarchs United and Hythe Town drew 2-2. In midweek, Bridon Ropes won 1-0 at Lewisham Borough in a cup tie, Oshinowo scoring and the club keeping its first clean sheet of the season.
The league has also named October as its charity month, supporting Fight Bladder Cancer UK in memory of John Moules. Selected fixtures across the Premier and First Divisions will feature collections, among them Croydon's home games at the Arena on 10 and 17 October.
