There are milestones that arrive with a trophy and milestones that arrive with a switch being flicked. At Nailsea United, it was the latter. "The wait is finally over and we have lights," the club announced ahead of the visit of Cadbury Heath, having installed new floodlights at their ground. Gates opened at 6pm, the lights came on at 6:45pm, and pies were £3.50, or £8 with a pint. A crowd of 234 turned out. The club thanked "the 234 people who came out to celebrate a historic night", and the football obliged: a 5-2 win, with goals from Charlie Parsons, two for Dylan Whittle, Joe Berry and Kelson Pollard, and Ryan Ford named man of the match by sponsors Nathan's Barber Room. The result put Nailsea back into the play-off places at Step 6.
The other strand of the week has been ownership. The sale of Bath City to a new investor group has been completed, the club confirmed. The new ownership group includes Executive Chair Andrew Stalbow, President Abdallah Yafi, and Vice Chair Richard Rivlin. Maldon & Tiptree held a Q&A with their new owners for supporters at the Maldon Stadium at 12pm ahead of their match against Whitehawk. At Widnes Town, Ryan Bamford has arrived as chairman and given his first interview since joining, with the club also issuing a two-part statement and an open invitation: "This is an invite to the community and to the town of Widnes as a whole."
