Langley go second in Combined Counties Division One with a late win and a 6-0

Langley had the week's best sequence. On Saturday they won 3-2 at Maidenhead Town, Kian Berry and Adam Malik scoring inside 14 minutes before Jediah Appiah's 90th-minute goal settled it. Hosts Maidenhead Town had described them beforehand as sitting second in the league, and as having been top until PFC Victoria won the previous night.

On Tuesday 22 September Langley beat Bovingdon 6-0 at Arbour Park. Ouardi scored in the 18th, 45th-plus-one and 71st minutes and was named Player of the Match. Berry, Emmanuel Oladunjoye and Patrick Koroma added the others. Two wins, nine goals scored, none conceded on the Tuesday.

PFC Victoria have the points that keep them ahead. They won 3-1 at Wembley on Tuesday, having already been described by Spelthorne Sports Club as league leaders after beating them 4-2. Spelthorne Sports Club then lost 4-1 at home to Molesey, their first home defeat of the season by the club's own account.

Maidenhead Town followed the Langley defeat with a 5-1 loss at Belstone. Before kick-off the club put Belstone eighth on 24 points and themselves twelfth on 17.

Saturday brought the week's other high-scoring games. Holmer Green drew 4-4 with Edgware & Kingsbury, and Brook House drew 3-3 with Colliers Wood United. Brook House then won 3-1 at Holmer Green on Tuesday, and Colliers Wood United won 2-1 at FC Deportivo Galicia. The hosts called that one "a great game of football that could've gone either way", praised goalkeeper Emi's saves and noted a first goal of the season for young Borja.

Also on Tuesday, Oxhey Jets beat Edgware & Kingsbury 3-1 at home, two of their goals officially or apparently own goals by their own account, after Nicholas Brayshaw's diving header had won them Saturday's 1-0 at Spartans. Westside beat Woodley United 5-1 on Saturday and Shepherd's Bush 5-0 later in the week. Woodley United played out a 0-0 draw with Staines & Lammas (Middlesex), a clean sheet the club credited to Player of the Match Ellis Riley.

Molesey had also won on Saturday, 3-1 against Eagles Land Benfica.
