Kingstonian have appointed Alan Dowson as their new manager, returning to the club after twelve years away.
Dowson led Kingstonian back into the Isthmian League Premier Division as Division One South champions in 2008-09 and was in charge between 2007 and 2014. Since then he has managed Woking, Hampton & Richmond Borough, Dartford and Hemel Hempstead Town. He won the Isthmian League title with Hampton & Richmond Borough in 2015-16 and took Woking back to the National League by winning the National League South play-off final against Welling United in 2018-19.
Club chairman George Vasilaras said: "He's a great combination of being a workaholic and football mad at the same time, he will give our club the best version of himself 24/7."
Dowson said: "I'm absolutely buzzing to be back as the manager of this great club." He takes charge for the away match at AFC Stoneham. Tom Williams has departed Kingstonian, with first team coach Lester Pyle and goalkeeping coach Matt Lovett staying on.
Manager Callum Glen has left Moneyfields after notifying the board that he had accepted an offer from a Step 3 club. Assistant manager Neil Tomlinson takes over as interim first-team manager with immediate effect, supported by coach Michael Birmingham, and will pick the side for the Russell Cotes Cup tie against Liss Athletic.
Jordan Gallagher has signed for South Park (Reigate) from Kingstonian, joining his cousin Josh Gallagher at Whitehall Lane. The club says he scored 104 goals in three and a half years at Raynes Park Vale, and he went straight into the squad for the trip to Sheppey. Paris Hamilton-Downes also joined the squad, while Adam Morley has departed.
Elsewhere, AFC Stoneham have welcomed back Owen after he spent the first part of the season at Downton. Defender Nathan Koranteng has left Hashtag United, and Alfie Fry has left Tilbury after more than 100 appearances and a league title. George Weston-Brown and Kieran Jordan are moving on from Windsor & Eton.
