Jones and Forgione take over as joint chairmen at Worsbrough Bridge Athletic

Worsbrough Bridge Athletic have appointed Darryl 'Daz' Jones and Luke Forgione as joint chairmen, succeeding Mark Booth. The club described both men as familiar faces who will look to build on Booth's tenure.

In a statement, the club thanked Booth for his "outstanding service, dedication and commitment". It said he had often carried significant responsibilities on his own with limited support, and that when he became involved the club was going through one of the most difficult periods in its history. His work, the club said, had helped rebuild stability and establish foundations to move forward, adding that without it the club "would not be in the position it finds itself in today".

The club said both new chairmen are local people whose links stretch back to their late teenage years. Jones played for the club and is currently Chairman of the Junior Section. Forgione made numerous first-team appearances over a ten-year period and previously managed the first team. Both have continued to attend matches as supporters.

Forgione has spent the last ten years establishing and developing 4G1 Football Academy, a private academy rooted in the local community. The club said that experience has given him a background in business management, strategic planning and commercial development, and that he intends to bring it to Worsbrough Bridge Athletic, working with Jones, the committee and volunteers.
