Jersey Bulls' Jarma Mohamed receives Somalia call-up for Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Ghana

Jersey Bulls announced that first-team player Jarma Mohamed has received another call-up to the Somalia national team for their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures against Ghana. The sides face each other in back-to-back fixtures.

Mohamed joined the club at the beginning of the 2026/27 season. According to the club, he has made a positive impression since arriving at Springfield, and he has previously received international recognition from Somalia.

Club director Ian Horswell said: "For Jarma to become the first player in our club's history to receive a full senior international call-up whilst representing Jersey Bulls is a fantastic achievement, both for him personally and for our football club." He added: "We are an amateur football club with big ambitions, and seeing one of our players recognised on the international stage is another significant milestone in our journey."

Manager Elliot Powell said: "Delighted for Jarma to receive his call up as recognition for his hard work this season. It will be a proud moment for him pulling on his national badge once again and we look forward to supporting him from afar."

Mohamed is expected back at Springfield once his international duties conclude.
