Jamie Poole has left his role as manager of Northallerton Town, with the club bottom of Ebac Northern League Division One after 23 league matches.
Poole joined Northallerton Town in May after managing Billingham Town and oversaw a major overhaul of the playing squad. According to the club, results have been disappointing.
Chairman Jason Bleanch said: "We would like to place on record our thanks to Jamie for all his hard work and application. He has thrown his heart and soul into the job but unfortunately the results just haven't come.
"After a damaging series of defeats, it was felt now was the right time to make a change. It wasn't an easy decision to make but we want to give a new manager the chance to turn our season around.
"With 17 league matches to play, it's vital we retain our First Division status and improve results during the second half of the season."
Poole said: "I would like to say thank you for the opportunity. I understand it's a results business and unfortunately the results didn't come for me.
"Northallerton is a great club and town and I met some great people and would like to wish you all the best of luck."
Player-coach Dale Hopson takes interim charge of the squad for Saturday's trip to Thornaby, as Northallerton Town look to end a run of five successive league and cup defeats.
