Grimsby Borough sign forward Keke Jeffers on loan from Matlock Town

Grimsby Borough have signed forward Keke Jeffers on an initial three-month loan from Matlock Town.

The 21-year-old predominantly plays as a striker but can also operate in other attacking roles. The club said he brings added pace and a physical presence, and he goes straight into the squad for Saturday's game against Silsden.

Jeffers began at Bradford City as a youngster and moved to Stoke City in 2023, where he featured regularly for the club's Premier League 2 side. He had loan spells at Torquay United and Ashton United during the 2024/25 campaign.

After leaving Stoke following a couple of years in Staffordshire, he spent time in the Northern Irish top flight with Carrick Rangers. He then linked up with Ricky Ravenhill at Matlock Town at the start of the current season, and has made 12 appearances for them in total.

Jeffers has also recently received his first call-up to the St Kitts and Nevis national team.

The club thanked Matlock Town for their assistance in facilitating the move.
