Fleet Town's winning run tests the Combined Counties North and South

Four points separate Fleet Town from the rest of the Combined Counties Premier Division South, and on this week's evidence it could easily have been more. Having gone 2-0 down inside 19 minutes at third-placed Abbey Rangers, with Matthew Surman's corner-goal and a Connor Young finish putting the hosts in control, Fleet Town responded with five unanswered goals. Sam Bartlett and Alex McAllister levelled before half-time, before Ollie Burke, Kevin De Barros and debutant Tyler Robinson turned the contest into a 5-2 rout. Harry White then saved a late penalty to preserve the margin. A week later, Fleet Town needed an 88th-minute header from Danylo Hubynets, set up by Alex McAllister, to see off a ten-man Balham, Aaron Burchett having opened the scoring from a George Wallace delivery before Finn Haughey equalised for the visitors.

Elsewhere in the South, Metropolitan Police thrashed Yateley United 6-1 with Jethro Odumosu scoring a hat-trick, only to lose 4-0 at Cheshunt in the London Senior Cup. Tooting & Mitcham United followed a 4-0 win over Eversley & California with a 2-0 victory against Godalming Town, while continuing to add to their squad with the signings of Samuel Bello-Balogun, Alfie Walters and the returning Noah Ingham-Wright. Godalming Town themselves confirmed Sam Morgan as First Team Manager, with Jack Webb and Rob Parrot having steered the side through an interim spell.

In the Premier Division North, Holyport ground out a 2-0 win at Thatcham Town despite finishing with ten men after Dan Wilson's second yellow, goals from Manuel Kingsley and a stoppage-time Nathan Davison strike doing the damage. Broadfields United remain unbeaten having beaten Abingdon United 2-0, Gabriel Piorkowski's strike from inside the centre circle the previous week a highlight of their form. Wokingham Town beat both Bedfont and Northwood this fortnight, Naz Miah and Isaac Leader among those singled out for man-of-the-match honours.

At the top end of the Premier Division South, Knaphill moved into contention with a 3-1 win at Redhill, who finished with nine men after two red cards; Tom Wensley and a Ross Murdoch brace did the scoring. Badshot Lea made it three league wins from three with narrow victories over Yateley United and Walton & Hersham, Oli Opara among the scorers, though they had been well beaten 5-0 at Virginia Water previously.
