Farnborough sign six as Ball leaves Weston-super-Mare for Torquay

Farnborough provided some of National League South’s busiest summer recruitment, announcing a cluster of signings in mid-June. Centre-back Duncan Idehen arrived from St Ives Town, followed the next day by right-back Sam Okoye (Dartford’s Player of the Season for 2025/26) and winger Rashawn Scott (ex-Chelsea and Reading). The club added veteran right-back Ryan Jackson, midfielder Tom Lapslie and midfielder Josh Keeya from Salisbury. Centre-back Jaden Warner, formerly of Norwich City and Newport County, joined later, on 8 August. The rebuild then took an unexpected turn when Idehen left by mutual consent around mid August, two months after signing and days after Warner’s arrival. Separately, in mid-June, Farnborough confirmed that Women’s First Team joint-managers Matt Waite and Stéphan D’Abreu-Hayling had also departed by mutual consent

Flackwell Heath underwent a turbulent spell, with Chris Ayres and Paul Shone both departing before Mark Nisbet was appointed as the new First Team Manager. St Ives Town lost Ricky Marheineke and assistant Jim Freeman by resignation, with Dan Lawlor stepping in to take charge for the visit of Bourne Town. AFC Welwyn saw Scott Patmore resign before he resurfaced at Northwood, bringing coaches Connor Kilker and Matt See with him; Myles Anderson has taken interim charge at Welwyn. South Park (Reigate) appointed Josh Gallagher as manager with twin brother Jake joining as assistant, while Harlow Town named Salim Nassor and Scott Chickelday as joint interim managers.

South Shields completed a significant move for Rio Clegg from Radcliffe on a two-year deal, while Chasetown added experience in striker Nathan Blissett, whose past clubs include Bristol Rovers, Torquay United and Plymouth Argyle. Nantwich Town signed former Stoke City midfielder Will Smith and winger Collins Kagame. Loan activity was heavy across the lower steps: Chester took Ruben Butt from Salford City, Whitby Town's Daniel James joined from Middlesbrough, and Radcliffe brought in Manchester United's Finley McAllister. Hereford tied down Joseph James and Billy Phillips until 2027/28, Bath City named Andrew Stalbow as their new Executive Chair.
