Chippenham Town publish medical update with four players sidelined, Messenger returns!

Chippenham Town have published a medical update covering several players, with two of them facing a wait for answers or surgery.

Nelson Sanca sustained a meniscus injury in the fixture against Malvern in August. An MRI scan confirmed it and, after consulting a knee surgeon, minor surgery has been recommended. The club said the operation is scheduled for early November, with a return to training anticipated within a few weeks afterwards, subject to recovery and medical assessment.

Kevin Williams dislocated his shoulder in the away FA Cup tie at Yate Town. After the shoulder was relocated in hospital, the club said he experienced further complications and is awaiting an MRI scan to check for associated injuries to the surrounding structures. His return date is to be confirmed.

Ollie Bray, who strained a hamstring in the FA Cup tie against Havant & Waterlooville, is estimated to be back in two to three weeks. Leon Moore, who suffered a minor ankle fracture against Cray Wanderers in the same competition, is also estimated at three weeks and began gym-based rehabilitation this week.

Harry Messenger is available for selection after completing his rehabilitation from an ankle injury sustained playing for the Academy.
