Bishop Auckland set the pace as Marske make John Keegan a fortress

Four different scorers and a dominant attacking display took Bishop Auckland to a 4-1 win over Kendal Town at Heritage Park, with Luke Williams, Ben Jordison, Craig Moody and Gary Martin all finding the net in front of 422 supporters. Jordison, deployed at right back, also picked up the Man of the Match award, telling the club he had been working on adding more attacking threat to his game. Manager Martin Gray praised the fast start, the quality from wide areas and what he called another fantastic Tuesday night crowd, ahead of Saturday's trip to Whickham. Kendal manager Matt Flynn conceded his side had fallen to defeat at the league leaders, describing it as a tough scoreline his players did not deserve.

Elsewhere in Division One, Marske United continued to turn the John Keegan Stadium into difficult territory for visitors. Having beaten Northallerton Town and Whitley Bay at home, the Seasiders followed up with a 3-2 victory over third-placed Shildon, goals from Jey Draper, Oscar Mahoney and a late Tyler Goodman solo effort seeing off replies from Ben Reay and Alfie Steels. Assistant boss Dave Onions said the result showed a different side of Marske, adding that the club had won four and drawn two of seven games there in all competitions, with only Blyth Town having beaten them at the ground. Manager Paul Burton had urged his players before kick-off not to fear Shildon, recalling a six-nil defeat to them last season and insisting there was no reason his side could not get something from the game.

At Northallerton Town, James Boucher produced what the club called one of the finest strikes ever seen at the Calvert Stadium, a thirty-yard effort settling a 3-2 win over Carlisle City after Charlie Thompson and Eddie Thomas had also scored. Manager Jamie Poole praised his side's never-say-die attitude, though admitted the entertainment might not have been good for supporters' hearts.

Easington Colliery maintained their own good run with narrow away and home wins. Aiden Stanton and Liam Adamson struck in a 2-1 victory at Redcar Town, Stanton's stoppage-time volley cancelling out Callum Luck's opener before Adamson's second-half winner, with Redcar reduced to nine men late on. Adamson was also the difference in a 1-0 home win over Yarm & Eaglescliffe, a game that finished with Easington down to ten men themselves after a mix-up over an offside call from a goal kick.

Crook Town continued their climb up the table by beating Newton Aycliffe 3-0 thanks to goals from Glen, Connor and Roberto Koby, while Shildon tied down winger Joe Posthill on a contract until the end of the 2028/29 season, with manager Chris Hughes calling him an important part of what the club have achieved on and off the pitch.
